Betsey Elias is a textile designer and fashion illustrator from India. Her stylized illustrations are whimsical, playful, and exaggerated. With a love for colour and patterns, she takes a lot of inspiration from vintage fashion and y2k movies.
The Women's Day scarf was inspired by the wonderful colours of the Spring season in Canada along with the diversity of the country. Through the scarf, she wanted to bring forth the idea of women supporting and building each other up. She has included female diversity in the design to depict the idea of how diverse and welcoming Canada is. Her goal is to inspire every woman to believe that they are all beautiful in their own unique way.
