A design movement that has transcended time despite its title being based off of a specific time period: Mid-Century Modern design has remained a classic style in both interior and graphic design for decades. Referring to the middle of the 20th century, this design style is difficult to place into a tidy box. Let’s explore how it has transformed and evolved yet stayed true to its core values over time, and how it inspired some of our product designs at the IN Store!
Since the first days of IN, our primary motivation was to have a space where students could collaborate and see their designs come to life. It’s been an overwhelming pleasure to watch how IN has grown from just an idea to a full-fledged retail store powered by student designs.
Our Home & Miniature Land is Jean-Louis’ passion project. When he quit his job in 2011 in search of something that nourished his soul, Brenninkmejier began to delve into the world of miniature models. Inspired by Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany, he reached out to multiple model railway clubs around the GTA and Hamilton to get the wheels turning on his vision.
