Fashioning Talent: Holden Vetro

Coming in 2nd isn’t so bad, especially when you’re named one of Canada's Breakthrough Designers of 2015. George Brown College, School for Fashion Studies graduate, Holden Vetro, beat out 24 other finalists from all over Canada to win 2nd prize and a $3,500 scholarship from Télio’s national competition.

Télio has supported emerging talent, as an integral part of its philosophy for a number of years.

The objective of Canada’s Breakthrough Designers competition is to support and prepare young fashion designers for the commercial realities of the industry.

So what’s next for the emerging designer? The momentum is continuing to build as Holden has been accepted into the prestigious BA fashion design program at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium, Fall 2015.

We will be closely following the career of this extraordinary skateboarder turned fashion designer.
