IN Transition: Daniels Waterfront – City of the Arts
Author: Jenni Filman
Since the first days of IN, our primary motivation was to have a space where students could collaborate and see their designs come to life. It’s been an overwhelming pleasure to watch how IN has grown from just an idea to a full-fledged retail store powered by student designs. We are and have always been so proud that all of our profits go toward student awards and we’re fortunate to have been able to work with Lori, Jen, and all of the dedicated and talented students over the years.
Check out this video from when IN was just a baby!
With saying that, we have some big news! While we will miss our little home at 230 Richmond E, we are SO EXCITED to be relocating the IN Store to the brand new George Brown College Waterfront campus! Located within the new Daniels Waterfront – City of the Arts, we’re gearing up for the move along with the School of Design in 2019. Everyone here at IN has been working super hard to design beautiful new products that we hope you will all love!
The move will give us so much more space to showcase what we have to offer: 1500 sq. ft. of space, in fact. We will also have a proper storefront facing the lake and Sugar Beach. We couldn't ask for a better location in the city and you will probably catch us taking our lunch breaks on the beach next summer. More than anything though, we're ecstatic about the prospect of further fostering collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and the cultivation of creative culture.
